Our tests and reports help you understand your health and have better conversations with your doctor. This page explains how to use them safely.

01Information to support your care

The tests, reports, scores and guidance we provide are for information and education. They work alongside the care you receive from your own doctor and are not a diagnosis, a treatment plan or a substitute for professional medical advice.

Always speak to your doctor or another qualified healthcare professional before starting, stopping or changing any medicine, supplement, diet or exercise plan, and about any question you have on a medical condition.

02In an emergency

If you think you may have a medical emergency, call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room straight away. Our Hub and support team are not an emergency service.

03Understanding your results

  • A result outside the reference range does not always mean something is wrong, and a result inside it does not rule out a health condition. Your doctor can read your results alongside your history and symptoms.
  • Reference ranges can differ between laboratories and may change with your age, sex and other factors.
  • Results can be affected by recent food, exercise, illness, medicines and how a sample was collected.

04DNA results

DNA results describe tendencies, not certainties. Most health outcomes depend on many genes and on your lifestyle and environment, so a higher genetic likelihood does not mean you will develop a condition, and a lower one does not mean you will not. Our DNA reports are not designed for diagnosing inherited diseases. If you have a family history of a genetic condition, please ask your doctor about clinical genetic testing and counseling.

05Gut microbiome results

Gut microbiome science is a fast-growing field. Your gut report reflects the microbes in your sample on the day it was collected, compared with reference data. It is a guide to diet and lifestyle choices to discuss with your doctor or dietitian, not a test for any disease.

06Cancer BioCare™ and screening tests

Multi-cancer blood tests add to, and do not replace, recommended screening such as mammograms, colonoscopies and cervical screening. A negative result does not rule out cancer, and a positive result needs confirmation by your doctor with further tests.

07Regulatory status of our tests

Some of our tests are laboratory developed tests. Their performance has been established by the laboratory that runs them, which is certified under CLIA to perform high-complexity testing. These tests have not been cleared or approved by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA), which is not required for this type of test.

08Clinical support

Our clinical team can explain your results and suggest next steps. They do not replace your own doctor, who knows your full medical history.
